Seven-time World Masters Champion, Debbi Waldear, oversees the Kirkwood Cross Country & Snowshoe Center which offers instruction in diagonal stride, telemarking and skating as well as guided tours. The expansive Kirkwood Meadow offers some of the best learning terrain in the Sierra.
Beginner's Package:
Includes trail pass, equipment and introductory lesson. Adult $48, Junior/Senior $40, Child $28. Sessions meet daily at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Skater's Package:
Learn to ski skate. Includes trail pass, equipment and lesson. Adult $50, Junior/Senior $45, Child $35. Sessions meet weekends only at 10:30 a.m.
Ski, Skill &Tour:
Learn a variety of techniques while skiing the trails with an instructor. Includes trail pass, lesson & ski rental. Adult $48, Junior/Senior $40 Child $25. Sessions meet at 1:30 p.m. on weekends. Mid week sessions are available by request only.
Private Instruction:
One on one instruction is available by appointment. Cost $48 per hour and $15 per additional skier.
